Every season I end up working with at least a few couples from California who either grew up in or went to college in and around Boston. I didn’t get to meet Nicole and David in person until a few months after they booked due to the fact that they, you guessed it, live in California. I’ve heard from other wedding photographers that technically I have a more “west coast style” and I’m finding this to be more true every year. A lot of my clients are not from the Boston area, but are transplants from other parts of the country.
Nicole and David were both Tufts students and met during their time there together. They wanted to have their wedding there, have the cannon painted (if you’re from Tufts you know what I’m talking about), and celebrate where they first were together. I love photographing at Tuft’s, not just because it’s a five minute drive from my house, but also for its beautiful campus, and innumerable photo locations. For the ceremony, the couple stood under their Ketubah on the roof of Tufts, which overlooks a beautiful view of Boston. We then had a short family and bridal party portrait session, followed by bride and groom photographs throughout the grounds on campus including the Tuft’s cannon, and the president’s house. Since their wedding this past June, Nicole has sent me a ton of new clients and I can’t thank her enough for all her continued support!
