The fall, as always, has been insanely busy with both weddings and engagement sessions. A few weeks ago one of my closest friends and former cross country teammate from high school finally proposed to his long-term girlfriend and they immediately set a date for a backyard wedding for September of 2014! A few weeks later we drove to up Ocean Park Maine where I have spent several of my summers with his family at their vacation home playing cards on the front porch late into the night and eating at one of the few diners in town, the Soda Fountain. I drove up from Boston to arrive before sunset and hit the light just right. Knowing, and photographing Steve for years (I even shot his senior photos in high school), we were instantly in the swing of things. Meghan has also been a huge supporter of mine for years and willingly admits to checking my blog regularly for updates and also seemed to take to being photographed. That night after our beach photo session, we drove up have dinner at one of their favorite local restaurants, Run of the Mill. The Two Lights State Park where Steve and Meghan have shared many a date night. For our final location we took a quick drive over to the most photographed lighthouse in America – the Portland Headlight. I am extremely happy with how their photos came out, and I can’t wait for their backyard wedding next Fall!
