Tiffany and Greg were clients of mine from the 2011 fall wedding season. It was at their wedding where I met future clients, Gui & Maya, by driving him from the hotel to the Smith Barn where Tiffany and Greg’s wedding was held. I have not been back to the Smith Barn since their wedding, but I have been dying to have the time to post their wedding photos on my blog since I took them almost two years ago. Tiffany and Greg live in Charlestown, Massachusetts, a town over from where I live. I met them at a local favorite pizza restaurant, Figs, and almost immediately we were talking like we were old friends. Photographing their Smith Barn wedding was a breeze, they were definitely not camera shy and tried to have as much fun with it as possible, which makes my job easy 😉
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all held at the extremely beautiful Smith Barn in Peabody, Massachusetts. Brooksby Farm is behind the main barn on the property which is the PERFECT place for bride and groom photographs. There is high grass, long stretches of trees and paths between them, hanging willows, and a bunch of different color and style barns. (They should really call it Smith Barns!) The ceremony took place behind the barn across the street from the main reception barn where they had a short but sweet ceremony. The bride’s grandmother sang for the couple while her aunt played keyboard. The bride and groom exchanged vows followed by the Jewish tradition of the breaking of the glass. We took all the bridal party and family photos as well. After the photos were finished, we headed inside to cocktail hour in the center of the two story barn filled with twinkle lights and candles. It has such a warm glow inside and has a nice homey feel while still being able to hold a couple hundred people inside. The couple was announced in as the sun was going down, which made for some amazing entrance photographs for the family and bridal party, followed by Tiffany and Greg’s first dance. We then had toasts from the best man, maid of honor, father of the bride, and mother of the groom followed by a choreographed dance by the bride and her father, with a little help from the bridesmaids with streamers and backup dancing. Everyone danced the night away thanks to DJ Hank Davidson and it was great to see Tiffany and Greg last August at Maya & Gui’s wedding, thanks for passing my name along guys!
